Working on technology and society: SROI at Bos Elektro

What is SROI?

SROI stands for Social Return on Investment: the conscious use of employment opportunities for people distanced from the labor market. This includes people with disabilities, those with a background in participation, or those who are (re)finding their place in the labor market through reintegration.

For Bos Elektro, this means: real jobs, with real responsibilities, within our existing production and logistics processes.

This is what it looks like for us:

• Employees from the target group register regularly participate in our production.

• We work closely with Tomin Group, which uses secondment to guide employees into a suitable working environment.

• Employees have also now been hired directly at Bos Elektro through the Participation Act, a step towards sustainable recruitment.

• Some of our products, such as specific distribution boxes and Tubelight lighting, are produced entirely by people with disabilities.

In 2025 we have been nominated for the Including Employer Award Gooi & Vechtstreek a recognition for employers who demonstrably and sustainably contribute to a more inclusive labor market.
